Five-Star No Entry Reviews from Margo Dill and Amy P. Knight

Gila Green is a masterful storyteller, and No Entry can definitely be added to her growing list of masterpieces. With just the right balance of setting description, endearing characters, and daily life in South Africa, No Entry picks readers up out of their comfortable homes and drops them in the middle of Kruger National Park. But the beautiful lure of nature and safari animals is soon overshadowed by the world behind the scenes that Canadian high school student Yael Amar stumbles upon: greed, violence, and elephant poaching. Readers will find themselves experiencing the joys and sorrows of Yael, who is just trying to recover from a recent family tragedy, and become her biggest champion. ~Margo L. Dill, author of Finding My Place: One Girl's Strength at Vicksburg and Managing Editor of WOW! Women On Writing Margo L. Dill

I just finished reading No Entry. What a great read! It's a coming-of-age story, but it's much more than that. Yael not only grows up, but also comes into awareness that the world can be incredibly brutal, and it's hard to know whom to trust — all of this in a beautifully written package. Equal parts suspenseful page-turner and gorgeous meditation, No Entry kept me reading late into the night. I fell in love with Yael and was truly with her while she was, at times, painfully alone. It's not easy to write about an important social issue and at the same time tell a compelling and personal story but you have managed it beautifully. No Entry grapples with the complexity of poaching as a social problem and presents it in a way that's believable coming from a teenage girl without being overly naive.

Congratulations on a true achievement!
