My Essay has been translated into Hebrew and German

There has only ever been one act that makes me feel as potent as Elijah: writing. With a pen in my hand I could raise the dead, ascend skyward and bring fire down from the heavens....In Israel I was both haunted by and trying to tear myself away from memory when it came to this Nation, and all of that energy had to land somewhere: it became a major theme in my work.

--Gila Green "I Observe. I Remember."

I am thrilled that for the first time one of my essays, "I Observe, I Remember" has been translated into Hebrew and German. A project of the German embassy in Tel Aviv, my essay is one of 35 essays from a broad spectrum of Israeli women of all backgrounds. The Embassy has put together a Women's Short Stories Collection to be available in English, Hebrew and German. There will be a release of the collection coming up at the German Embassy in Tel Aviv in May. I'll post pics and a link to the collection.
