I write novels for both adults and teens, and my publishing journey began as a short story and flash fiction writer. My narratives unfold against the backdrops of Canada, Israel (both modern and pre-State), and South Africa. While I experiment with various forms, my focus often centers on fiction exploring Jews and Judaism across a broad canvas, encompassing Ashkenazi, Yemenite, and Sephardi Jews—a diversity I've found lacking in much of the Jewish literature I love.
My stories delve into the lives of everyday people grappling with immigration, racism, colonialism, occupation, alienation, war, politics, abuse, romance, poverty, terrorism, and survival.
In the realm of publication since 2005, I've encountered and learned from numerous challenges. Each mistake has been a stepping stone, propelling me forward. I am eager to share my experiences and insights to help you navigate your own writing journey.
My passion extends beyond the art and craft of writing to encompass the business of publishing and marketing—two distinct yet intertwined aspects. I am here to assist you on both fronts, and I hope you find resonance with my writing along the way.
