October Jewish Carnival is Out

Thank you to The Sami Rohr Prize Guest Forum for hosting the October Jewish Book Carnival!

The Sami Rohr Prize Guest Forum is delighted to host the October 2020 Jewish Book Carnival. This monthly event, organized by the Association of Jewish Libraries (AJL), allows those of us who cover the world of Jewish books online to "meet, read, and comment on each others' posts." The Carnival is hosted on a different participant's site on the 15th of each month.

This is the Sami Rohr Prize Guest Forum's first time hosting the Carnival. We frequently post essays and interviews relating to the world of Jewish fiction and non-fiction books, so we hope you visit our Guest Forum again to read contributions from the SRP community. You can find recent posts here: https://www.samirohrprize.org/guest

- Over at The Rachack Review, Rabbi Reuven Chaim Klein reviews Mordechai Kuber's book about the international dateline in Halacha.

- Each week, Erika Dreifus's My Machberet blog curates links from the world of Jewish books and writing. Here's one recent example.

- Over at Debra Kalb's site, Ann Koffsky did a Q&A about the new children's picture book she authored and illustrated, Kayla and Kugel's Happy Hanukkah.

- Heidi Slowinski recently reviewed Caledonia by Sherry V. Ostroff . This award winning novel transitions between 17th century Anna, of Scotland, and modern-day Hanna, of Pennsylvania. While separated by time, these two women share a unique bond.

- Gilagreenwrites features a guest post from Toronto poet Susie Berg about the art of imitation. For more Jewish Carnival links.
